Midlands Air Ambulance Charity is hosting the next open day at its Strensham airbase – over the Worcestershire border at Strensham Services Northbound, just off the M5 north of Tewkesbury – on Sunday 16 August 2026, from 10am till 4pm.
What to expect at Midlands Air Ambulance Charity's Strensham airbase open day?
The open day will give supporters an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the charity's frontline operations. Visitors can look around one of its helicopters and a critical care car, and chat to the critical care paramedics who provide hospital-level treatment to some of the region's most seriously ill and injured patients.
There will also be chance to witness its iconic red helicopters taking flight, and explore interactive exhibits including a helicopter pod for children, along with family entertainment, fun attractions and a variety of food stalls and vendors.
