The co-educational school welcomes children aged three to 13 and is known for its strong family ethos, providing an environment where childhood is treasured, with a 'not a moment wasted, not a moment rushed' approach. The school also has a reputation for its high academic standards and exceptional pastoral care. Dean Close St John's offers flexible wraparound services, with a daily bus service and options for part-time and full-time boarding.

The aim being to give both parents and children the opportunity to gain a genuine feel for the school and see first-hand how they help every child grow in confidence, develop their strengths and flourish.

This autumn date is devised for parents of all ages, and  promises a perfect opportunity to see the school facilities, meet teachers and pupils, and discover what makes Dean Close St John's 'distinctly different'.

The morning will begin at 9am with coffee and cake in the head's office, followed by a guided tour led by year 7 and year 8 pupils. Following the tour, families are invited to come together in the Embassy Room for refreshments and an informal chat with the head and some of the teaching staff.

New for this year, Discover & Flourish Sessions will follow the morning for families who would like to explore a particular area of interest in greater depth. These optional sessions provide an opportunity to meet heads of department, with sessions available to be booked for parents, or parents and children together, with children also welcome to take part in individual experiences such as music instruments, sports coaching, creating art or exploring science.
