Gloucestershire County Council Fostering is inviting anyone considering becoming a foster carer to its next online information evening, where participants can chat to a current foster carer about their experiences.

Gloucestershire County Council Fostering's next online information event gives people the chance to meet a current foster carer and ask any questions they have.

If you've ever considered fostering a child, but have questions about the process, Gloucestershire County Council Fostering is hosting a free, online information session this June 2026.

What to expect from Gloucestershire County Council Fostering's online information session?

Participants will have the opportunity to hear from and speak to a Gloucestershire County Council foster carer, who'll share insights on every element of the fostering process, from application to caring for children. 

Gloucestershire County Council Fostering's recruitment team will also be on the call to share information about how to apply, as well as the pay, training and support available when fostering with the council. 

These free, online information sessions are a great opportunity to find out more about fostering with Gloucestershire County Council and ask any questions you may have.

Why foster with Gloucestershire County Council?

In Gloucestershire alone, there are nearly 800 children of all ages in care, with local foster carers offering much-needed stability by keeping kids in their school and close to family and friends.
