Gloucestershire County Council Fostering is hosting its next information event at this year's Stroud Show, with a stall where visitors can have an informal chat with its team and find out all about fostering.

As well as all the stalls to explore, there's plenty more to do at the Stroud Show, too, with a dog show, horse procession, car and tractor display, and live music throughout the day.
Why foster with Gloucestershire County Council?
With nearly 800 children of all ages currently in care in Gloucestershire, the council needs local foster carers to help give these children much-needed stability, by keeping them close to family and friends, and allowing them to stay in their school.
Foster carers can come from all walks of life, whether single or in a relationship, in employment or not, and whether you own your own home or rent. Providing you're over 21-years-old, you could become a foster carer with Gloucestershire County Council.
