Badminton Estate throws open its garden gates this April 2023, offering the public a chance to admire stunning spring blooms in all their glory.

The beautiful gardens surrounding the home of the Duke and Duchess of Beaufort offer a variety of plants to view, with visitors able to take in colourful tulips and a host of seasonal flowers in magnificent surroundings from 10am to 4pm on Sunday 23 April 2023.

There are formal beds on the east side of the house, designed by Russell Page; and a south garden with wonderful water squares, hedges, beds and borders.

The walled garden, a short stroll from the house through the park, is home to the Badminton Estate kitchen garden, providing fruit and vegetables as well as cut flowers for much of the year.

The greenhouse is used for propagation and houses a fine display of pelargoniums.

Visitors will also get the chance to wander around the carefully cared for Well Cottage gardens, the home of Miranda Beaufort.

Shopping stalls include plants from Badminton Gardens, The Walled Garden Nursery, Barracks Cottages Plants, Shady Plants and Tim Stroud Tools as well as food from Knead Bakery, Old Sodbury Lamb and Marshfield ice-cream.

There's plenty of parking in front of Badminton House. Disabled or elderly visitors have a dedicated disabled parking area, too.

The majority of the gardens are accessible to wheelchairs and those with mobility issues, with accessible toilets available in the Old Hall.
