Gloucestershire runners, it's time to lace up your trainers and register for the Gloucester Half Marathon and 10k 2026 — raising vital funds for national healthcare charity Sue Ryder, which runs Sue Ryder Leckhampton Court Hospice.
From total beginners to runners ready to hit their next personal best, as well as racing regulars who are already comfortable going the distance, everyone is welcome to join Team Sue Ryder for the event on Sunday 22 March 2026.
Choose to tackle 10k or 13.1 miles, following a scenic route that passes through the city centre, around iconic landmark Gloucester Cathedral, before heading into the suburbs along a closed road circuit, taking runners along the Gloucester and Sharpness Canal path.
The event, which is expertly organised by RunThrough, is a huge fundraiser for Sue Ryder – returning as headline partner once again this year, after 2025's event helped it to raise over £18,500.
The funds raised by runners in 2026 will help Sue Ryder to continue providing its compassionate palliative care and bereavement support and be there for families when it matters most.
Volunteers from the charity will be ready to celebrate those who cross the finish line, with well-deserved treats for runners in the event village after they complete their challenge.
