The Virtual Royal Three Counties Show will bring the best of the countryside to homes across Gloucestershire and beyond, from Friday 12 to Sunday 14 June 2020, as the popular event goes online only for the first time.
While the current Coronavirus restrictions mean the annual event at the Three Counties Showground in Malvern can’t go ahead this year, the packed virtual show will feature some of its biggest highlights for visitors to enjoy for free.
Ambassador Adam Henson will provide the welcome, there will be farmyard fun with a virtual sheep shearing contest, virtual young handlers’ competition and an ‘ask the farmer’ session too.
For thrill seekers, there’ll be a virtual display from the Red Devils Parachute Display Team, plus performances from the Bolddog Lings freestyle motocross team and the Galloping Acrobats.
Food fans can enjoy demonstrations, exclusive offers and a virtual beer tent, while gardeners can get helpful hints and tips.
Head of shows, Diana Walton, said: ‘We’re really excited about the programme that we’ve put together, which champions everything we’re about. Our society has been going for more than 200 years and we refuse to let anything beat us, including Coronavirus – there’s really no reason why the weekend shouldn’t be a Royal Three Counties weekend for thousands of families.
‘We’re passionate about putting on the best possible show we can because we’re fully aware that so many local industries have been hit by Coronavirus. We also want to provide plenty of opportunities for people to learn more about the countryside in a fun environment.’
