Gloucestershire’s favourite celebrity chef, Tom Kerridge, is joining the judging panel of Great British Menu.

Tom will be joined by fellow chef Nisha Katona and comedian and food podcaster Ed Gamble for the 13th series of the popular BBC show, which is set to return to screens in early 2022.

The series will see top chefs from across the UK compete for the opportunity to cook at a banquet that ‘celebrates British creativity through 100 years of television broadcasting’ to commemorates the BBC’s centenary.

Tom Kerridge said: ‘I am so thrilled to be judging Great British Menu, it holds such a special place in my heart having cooked at the banquet twice.

‘I’ve been through it, I know the pressure, the highs and the lows, which is what makes it such a brilliant competition and a great show. I can’t wait to meet the chefs and see some of the UK’s finest talent shine.’

The new series will see long-serving judges Oliver Peyton and Matthew Fort leave the programme after 13 years.

Filming for season 13 of Great British Menu is due to get underway in autumn 2021, with the show due to air on BBC Two in 2022.
