Gloucestershire College

Gloucestershire College is an innovative provider of professional and technical training, offering courses and apprenticeships for school leavers, adults and businesses across its campuses in Cheltenham, Gloucester and the Forest of Dean. Awarded Gloucestershire’s Apprenticeship Training Provider of the Year 2022, the college works with more than 1,000 employers to deliver bespoke training programmes, ensuring businesses have the right skills and staff for growth.

In today's shifting employment landscape, an organisation's success hinges on the continual development of its workforce — and apprenticeships have emerged as a powerful tool for achieving these goals. They provide structured, cost-effective training, fostering industry-relevant skills and behaviours in employees; this approach helps businesses align talent with their needs and culture while reducing recruitment expenses.

Gloucestershire College offers pathways from Level 2 to degree helping local companies across a wide range of sectors fulfil their skills needs — either by bringing in a new apprentice, for which the college offers free recruitment support, or by training existing staff, which is becoming increasingly important. SoGlos rounds up 13 of GC's programmes on offer.
