Dinosaur Adventure Live at The Roses Theatre

Described as a show ’65 million years in the making’, Dinosaur Adventure Live comes to The Roses Theatre on Tuesday 23 and Wednesday 24 August 2022.

Promising a summer holiday day out with a difference, this incredible interactive show brings the audience face to face with life-sized dinosaurs, to see them feed and hear them roar – a T-Rex-riffic time for all the family.

The Gods The Gods The Gods at The Roses Theatre

From the producers of the award-winning Orpheus and Eurydice, Wright and Grainger, The Gods The Gods The Gods tells four stories that blend mythology with music and spoken word, exploring the things we look for outside ourselves – with a one-off performance taking place on Saturday 10 September 2022.

With the aim of making theatre accessible to all, The Gods The Gods The Gods is The Roses Theatre’s first ever ‘pay what you can’ show, with ticket prices starting from just £2.50.

Frankie – The Concert at The Roses Theatre

An award-winning cast brings the music of Franki Valli and The Four Seasons to life in this spectacular show, which The Telegraph describes as the ‘closest you can get without seeing the real thing’.

Recreating Valli’s famous falsetto and The Four Seasons’ tight four-part harmonies accompanied by an eight-piece band, Frankie fans can hear the biggest hits, like ‘Big Girls Don’t Cry’, ‘Silence is Golden’ and ‘Can’t Take My Eyes Off You’ live on Friday 23 September 2022.

Bumper Blyton at The Roses Theatre

Literature-loving adults won’t want to miss Bumper Blyton when it takes to the stage on Saturday 1 October 2022 for an adults-only show based on the works of the beloved children’s author.

Promising a ‘riotous improvised parody’ with tongue-in-cheek takes on the likes of The Famous Five and Mallory Towers performed in vintage costumes, the show features live songs and satirical humour, with suggestions from the audience helping to influence the plot along the way!

90s Live at The Roses Theatre

Dust off your Union Jack dress, platform trainers and bucket hat and enjoy an evening of 90s nostalgia at 90s Live on Saturday 15 October 2022.

Taking audiences ‘Back For Good’, a talented cast perform 90s bangers from the likes of Take That, The Spice Girls, Oasis, Britney Spears and The Vengaboys in full costume, with all the classic moves that are sure to get the audience dancing in the aisles.

Dr Richard Shepherd: Unnatural Causes at The Roses Theatre

One for the curious, spend an evening with forensic pathologist Dr Richard Shepherd on Sunday 23 October 2022. Having performed over 23,000 autopsies, including high-profile criminal cases, such as the Princess Diana inquiry and 9/11, Dr Shepherd has lived a fascinating life surrounded by death.

In this mind-boggling show, he shares how he uncovered evidence that has put killers behind bars, freed the innocent and even solved ‘the perfect murder’ – as well as the cases that still haunt him to this day.

Down for the Count: A Century of Swing at The Roses Theatre

On Friday 4 November 2022, the hugely popular Down for the Count swing band brings a celebration of vintage music to The Roses Theatre in its own inimitable style.

This electrifying show features the very best in swing music from 1920s America to its heyday in the 1950s, with music from the likes of Duke Ellington and Glenn Miller to Nat ‘King’ Cole and Ella Fitzgerald, as well as the band’s own original arrangements of jazz classics.

Taking place from Saturday 26 November to Saturday 31 December 2022, The Roses Theatre’s beloved family pantomime is back, with BAFTA-winning writer Maurice Gran and the team behind previous shows Almost A Christmas Carol and Almost Treasure Island putting their unique spin on the classic fairytale this festive season.
