While many traditional Christmas carol concerts aren’t going ahead this year, the people of Bisley in Gloucestershire are determined to spread some Christmas cheer with a doorstep carol concert on Wednesday 23 December 2020.

Organised by local resident, Deborah Edmonds, families and households in the village will be standing on their doorsteps from 6pm to sing a selection of Christmas carols to celebrate the festive season together, from a safe distance.

Although some carol services are being streamed online, the doorstep carol concert aims to include people who don’t have access to Facebook or YouTube and foster a sense of community spirit this festive season.

A list of which carols will be sung will be dropped through letterboxes very soon and anyone wishing to take part can join in from their doorstep at 6pm on Wednesday 23 December 2020.
