Workplace Interiors Co, a Cheltenham-based interior design firm, is celebrating the contributions of women to both its own business, as well as the construction industry as a whole, this Women in Construction Week.

Taking place from Sunday 3 to Saturday 9 March 2024, Women in Construction Week celebrates the role of women in the construction industry and strives to get more women working in the sector.

Only around 16 per cent of the construction workforce in the UK is female, with Workplace Interiors Co bucking that trend with 58 per cent of its workforce being made up of women.

The company offers a range of services from design and build to consultancy and digital marketing, employing women in a diverse range of roles across its business — including operations; interior design; health and safety; sales; and marketing.

Head of people at Workplace Interiors Co, Georgia Smith, said: 'At Workplace Interiors Co, every member of the team plays a pivotal role in driving innovation and excellence. We recognise and address the challenges women often encounter within the construction sphere, ensuring we offer support and opportunities for every member to thrive.

'The diversity within the team brings fresh perspectives and creative ideas to every project, enhancing outcomes for our customers and the wider community. We take so much pride in the contributions of the team — they’re integral to our success.'
