The third annual SoGlos Gloucestershire Business Awards is taking place in October 2023.

SoGlos is thrilled to reveal that two of the most respected names in the county’s business community are the headline co-sponsoring the SoGlos Gloucestershire Business Awards 2023 – with a formidable army of category sponsors for the event's 22 awards, too.

Accountant and business advisor Hazlewoods and law firm Willans LLP solicitors are the joint headline co-sponsors of the annual showcase for the second year running.

James Fyrne, managing director of SoGlos, said: ‘We are so pleased and proud to be able to announce Hazlewoods and Willans LLP Solicitors as our joint headline sponsors. And we can’t wait to celebrate the very best of Gloucestershire businesses in what will be the third year of the event.

'This year we have worked alongside our sponsors and partners to tweak the criteria and judging process as we continue to try ensure this is the most open, inclusive and diverse business awards it can be – no matter what size or type of business.’

Chris Wills, corporate and commercial partner at Willans LLP solicitors, which has its head office in Cheltenham, said: ‘Learning about the variety of successful businesses in our county is a fantastic experience – hearing their stories and meeting the people behind what makes this area so vibrant is something I really enjoy.

'Willans advises clients across the UK, but our roots are firmly in Gloucestershire, and we’ve been supporting businesses here for over 75 years.

‘Because of this, celebrating and championing Gloucestershire businesses and businesspeople feels like a natural fit, and we can’t wait to do it all again this year as part of SGGBA 2023.’

Ryan Hancock, an associate partner at Hazlewoods, which has its head offices in Staverton, said: ‘The SoGlos Gloucestershire Business Awards provides a great opportunity for businesses to come together and celebrate their successes.

‘We are so pleased to co-headline sponsor again this year and look forward to seeing the wealth of businesses, and particularly new names, throughout the refreshed nomination and judging process.

‘In what is looking like further challenging times for us all ahead, it is important to remember that we have a strong and supportive business community in Gloucestershire that is worth celebrating.'

Now in its third year, SGGBA celebrates the best of Gloucestershire’s fledgling start-ups through to the top 100 businesses in the county with a fresh approach to the traditional awards format.

Culminating in a relaxed celebration evening, bringing finalists, sponsors and special guests together for an exciting live reveal of winners, this year's event is taking place at Gloucester South Community Fire Station on Thursday 19 October 2023.
