Gloucestershire businesses can support The Roses Theatre's community work with a new patron package launching this June 2023.

Tewkesbury's The Roses Theatre is launching a brand-new patron package for local businesses, available from June 2023.

The leading arts and culture venue is looking for patrons to help support its important community work, which includes a variety of regular events for vulnerable groups; its flagship youth theatre company Roses Young Creatives; as well as an ongoing fundraising campaign to make the theatre more accessible to disabled and neurodivergent guests and performers.

Patronage costs £500 per year and gives businesses a host of benefits, including 20 tickets to any film screenings in The Roses Theatre cinema, including Royal Opera House and National Theatre screenings; discounted hospitality packages from the cafe and bar; either one half page or two quarter page adverts in the quarterly brochure; and invitations to a range of networking events — the first of which takes place on Wednesday 28 June 2023.

As a qualifying charitable donation, the cost of patronage also entitles businesses to tax relief.

The new package forms part of a wider strategy to develop sustainable fundraising and commercial and hospitality income streams to support and futureproof The Roses Theatre's work.

It is also seeking donations or in-kind support from local businesses which aren't able to commit to patronage, to help make up the remaining funds needed for its Buck Up Backstage campaign to transform the outdated backstage area and make access easier for disabled people.
