The Museum of Gloucester is building a brand-new digital museum with the help of social media, to form part of its Digital Museum Challenge.

Curators are asking people to upload a photo of the oldest item in their home with a short description of why they love it, and tag Museum of Gloucester so they can add it to the collection.

People are being given an ‘almost’ free reign on what they can upload. There are prizes up for grabs too, as items will be randomly selected to win throughout the challenge.

The new initiative sounds like a great way for people of all ages, across Gloucestershire and beyond, to get their culture fix during the coronavirus lockdown.

To take part, upload your photos to social media, tag in @museumofgloucester and use #DigitalMuseumChallenge.
