Robinswood Hill Country Park is about to get a serious makeover thanks to a new community space and café that’s been given the go ahead.

Marking a brilliant start to 2019, one of Gloucestershire’s most stunning public spaces is set to have its welcome centre completely renovated, thanks to a decision to allow the extension and renovation of the current building into a new community space and café.

Robinswood Hill Country Park on Reservoir Road in Gloucester has been given permission to improve the existing office space and create new visitor facilities, including a café, community centre and visitor engagement area.

The centre would have a single storey extension allowing more space for an indoor café, and would also include a mezzanine level suitable for use as a workspace.

It’s hoped the building could also be hired by local people for events or meetings, alongside a new and improved reception area and entrance. Gloucester City Council has up to three years to complete the works.
