Two destinations in Gloucestershire feature in a list of the ‘top 20 most unique places to stay in the UK’.

The Glamping Orchard in Longney and The Clock Tower Stow in the Cotswold town of Stow-on-the-Wold both made the list, coming in at number four and number 15.

The Gloucestershire locations ranked alongside those in Suffolk, Devon, the Orkney Islands and Cornwall – from windmills to Romani caravans – offering a special getaway beyond a traditional hotel.

The round-up from South Western Railway evaluated each location based on its Google rating, number of Google reviews and a ‘unique-ness’ score calculated by a panel of experts.

The Gloucestershire destinations beat competition from more than 2000 listings across the country to take two of the top 20 spots.
