Cheltenham Music Festival has revealed its 2020 line-up, offering an eclectic programme of world premieres, classical music performances and family concerts, not to mention the popular return of the free stage in Imperial Square.

Returning to town from Friday 3 to Sunday 12 July 2020, Cheltenham Music Festival promises another year of outstanding performances, with new guest curator Jules Buckley, in its 76th year.

One of the UK’s most renowned classical music festivals, and designed to bring classical music to the widest possible audience, the highly anticipated ten-day festival offers 40 events for established fans and first timers alike, across 12 venues.

This year’s Cheltenham Music Festival spans 14 world premieres, chamber music, choral performances, engaging talks, a super hero-themed family show and the return of the popular free stage in Imperial Square.

Top international artists at Cheltenham Music Festival include Dame Sarah Connolly, Imogen Cooper, Bjarte Eike, Anna Fedorova, Sheku Kanneh-Mason, Miloš Karadaglic and Tasmin Little as just a few examples, with world-leading ensembles including Aurora Orchestra, The Heritage Orchestra, The Philharmonia and Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra.

There will also be Beethoven 250 celebrations – including the chance to enjoy performances in people’s homes in Cheltenham, renditions from rising stars including BBC New Generation Artists and BBC Young Musician finalists, as well as a performance from The New English Ballet Theatre – sponsored by SoGlos.

Cheltenham Festival members’ priority booking opens at 10am on Wednesday 25 March 2020, with general booking open from 10am on Wednesday 1 April 2020.
