An astonishing 421 nominations featuring 190 different companies tested our judges, but when their deliberations were over they delivered a strong list of finalists for the inaugural SoGlos Gloucestershire Business Awards.

The mammoth initial list of entries was slimmed down at SoGlos’s Cheltenham headquarters before being put before the independent panel, made up of the sponsors making the showcase event possible.

And following a secret socially distanced gathering at Cheltenham Trust’s Skillicorne Gardens we can now unveil the definitive list of finalists for the 17 SGGBA awards – plus an extra ‘Outstanding Contribution to Business in Gloucestershire’ award, now published via soglos.com/awards-business.

James Fyrne, group publisher and co-founder of SoGlos, said: ‘We were overwhelmed by the level of support from our sponsors and then came the incredible interest from Gloucestershire businesses and individuals who threw their names into the ring.

‘Whitling down the original list of entries was tough, but the judges went on to do an incredible job in delivering what we think is a really exciting and really strong list of contenders showing the depth and breadth of talent in the county.

‘All of the finalists will now be invited to join sponsors and special guests at the SGGBA awards evening at Weston Aviation’s Gloucestershire Airport headquarters on Thursday 9 September 2021 – when the winners will be revealed for the first time.’
