Most Wanted Wines brings its new low alcohol wine in a can to supermarkets this October 2023.

Most Wanted Wines, whose headquarters are based on the Royal Crescent in Cheltenham, is launching its first ever low alcohol sparkling wine in a can this October 2023.

The drinks firm, which is owned by Gloucestershire parent company Off-Piste Wines, has unveiled a new sparkling Sauvignon Blanc with just 0.5 per cent alcohol, in its first foray into the 'no and low' alcohol category.

Most Wanted Wines discovered in its market research that the wine sector was lacking in a low or no alcohol wine that wasn't 'too sweet or lacked a depth of flavour'. It also noticed that 55 per cent of the UK adults surveyed across multiple studies this year have moderated their alcohol intake in 2023 for health reasons; and that 86 per cent of consumers preferred a non-alcoholic drink in a 'single-serve format', rather than a full bottle.

Sarah Watkins, brand manager of Most Wanted Wines, said: 'After over a year of rigorous development, listening intently to our consumers' feedback, we're elated to introduce our 0.5 per cent Sauvignon Blanc Fizz can to the market. We recognised a growing need for a flexible, canned format that doesn't compromise on taste.

'Our consumers wanted a convenient, alcohol-free option that aligns with their lifestyle choices, and we're proud to have met that demand head-on. It's our belief that, while taste remains paramount, the convenience and sustainability of the canned format are key differentiators in today's evolving wine landscape.'

Most Wanted Wines is one of the UK's leading canned drinks producers and its new low alcohol wine in a can is on sale at Morrisons now.
