Award-winning Gloucestershire pizzeria Fat Toni’s has opened the doors of its new takeaway shop in the centre of Stroud today, and invited SoGlos to be one of the first to take a look around.

Based in the town’s Five Valleys shopping centre (formerly known as Merrywalks) the 1,314 square foot unit gives Fat Toni’s the opportunity to produce more than just pizza, with the capacity for sourdough loaves to be baked in store too.

Speaking to SoGlos, Jason Orsi, from Fat Toni’s said: ‘The bakery element is something we’re really excited about. The recipe is something we’ve worked on for a long time, and we can’t wait to give our customers the chance to enjoy fresh bread from us, too.’

Located between Vue Cinema and Dominos Pizza, Fat Toni’s Pizzeria is one of the first new businesses to move into Five Valleys since its renovation project began in June 2019.

The pizza company, which was voted Best Takeaway in the 2018 and 2019 SoGlos Gloucestershire Lifestyle Awards, is also behind Stroud based Toni’s Kitchen, a fine dining Italian restaurant, and Cheltenham’s Fat Toni’s pizza restaurant.

Darren Orsi, from Fat Toni’s, said: ‘We are delighted to move to a new and much larger unit here in Stroud. We have a fantastic customer base here in the town and it’s great to be able to extend our offer and grow the business in this new location.’
