Prithvi Cheltenham has unveiled what it will look like when reopening on Bath Road.

Prithvi in Cheltenham has revealed its brand-new look ahead of reopening at 37 Bath Road on Friday 17 January 2020.

The restaurant, which serves up a refined, modern take on Indian dishes, first opened on Cheltenham’s Bath Road in February 2012 and has since moved to No.38 The Park – part of the Lucky Onion Group.

Returning to its original restaurant premise in January 2020, Prithvi has revealed a computer-generated image of the new interiors which feature dark greens and dramatic light fixtures.

Behind the design is Cheltenham-based architectural designer, Harsha Mistry who runs Studio Geomechtry, and has designed the interior of Cheltenham’s HoleeClucker and Cheltenham Festivals’ programmes.

Speaking about the move, Jay Rahman from Prithvi said: ‘The last year for Prithvi has been a rollercoaster — tough and stressful, but fun and exhilarating at the same time! I am thrilled to be returning to our original home, we hope guests enjoy and understand what we’re trying to achieve.

‘Since our doors have opened, we’ve been listening to the feedback of our guests to help guide our evolution and we’ve been working harder than ever to become better, even though we’re still learning and have a long way to go.’

Prithvi is now taking bookings for its Bath Road restaurant.
