Swimmers have a few more weeks to enjoy Stratford Park Lido after Stroud District Council announced it was extending opening until the end of September 2026.

Stratford Park Lido in Stroud is staying open until the end of September, to give residents a little bit longer to enjoy outdoor swimming before the season ends.

The spring-fed outdoor swimming pool reopened in August 2026 following significant repair work to ensure its safety, though there were earlier concerns the pool might not be able to open at all in 2026.

Stroud District Council has now announced that the lido will be remaining open until Wednesday 30 September 2026, 'weather permitting', with a new timetable in place.

The baby pool, new cafe and on-site shop will also be open during public swim sessions until the end of the season.

Councillor Angela Gillingham, head of community services at Stroud District Council, said: 'We're delighted that the lido will remain open until the end of September, giving residents and visitors extra opportunities to enjoy this much-loved community facility.

'Since reopening, it's been wonderful to see people back in the water and making the most of everything the lido has to offer. We look forward to welcoming swimmers throughout the extended season, weather permitting.'

Advance booking is recommended to guarantee a swim, but some walk-in slots are reserved for each session.
