Ahead of its opening on Thursday 18 October 2018, the new John Lewis store in Cheltenham invited SoGlos to take a sneak peek around the shop today.

The £23 million store will feature 18 beauty counters, and will also be the very first John Lewis store to offer both a nail and brow bar, and a blow-dry service all on the ground floor.

There’s also a dedicated men’s personal styling room, where appointments are free of charge. Read on to discover our highlights from the behind-the-scenes tour.

Ready to Launch

The signs are up, the shelves are stocked, the staff are ready! John Lewis Cheltenham will open these doors to the public on Thursday 18 October 2018. Above the main door you’ll notice the Huffkins cafe, with a lovely view over the high street, through that huge glass frontage.

Huffkins bakery

Launching its second store in Cheltenham town centre, Huffkins Cotswold Bakery will open on the first floor of John Lewis, serving up its delicious range of coffee and cakes. This isn’t John Lewis Cheltenham’s only cafe, with its own The Place To Eat still available in the Cheltenham store; meaning there’s plenty of places to take a break from all the shopping and enjoy a refreshment.

The Beauty Hall

Make up fans will adore John Lewis Cheltenham’s Beauty Hall. Located on the ground floor as you enter the store, prepare to splurge with 18 beauty counters to choose from! It will also be the very first John Lewis store to offer both a nail and brow bar, as well as blow-dry service, all on the ground floor.

Christmas is coming!

The Christmas shop at John Lewis Cheltenham is full of stunningly decorated trees, decorations in hundreds of shapes and hues, and enough wrapping paper to rival the team at the North Pole! It’s the perfect shopping destination for fans of this festive time of year.

The Place To Eat

Promising to be a lovely cafe and restaurant in which to relax, The Place To Eat is a staple at all John Lewis stores. Serving up hot meals, tea, coffee, desserts and soup, the Cheltenham restaurant even features a cosy book nook.
