Randall & Payne has announced a key change in leadership, as Rob Case is appointed managing partner, succeeding Tim Watkins.
Tim is stepping aside from the role after a decade in post, during which he played a key role in shaping the firm’s direction, culture and values. Under his leadership, Randall & Payne achieved sustained growth, strengthened client relationships and invested in its people.
A major milestone during his tenure was the firm achieving B Corp certification, reflecting its commitment to balancing profit with purpose and operating responsibly for the benefit of clients, colleagues, communities and the wider economy.
Tim will continue to support clients, colleagues and the senior team as the firm moves into its next phase.
Rob began his career with the firm more than 20 years ago as a trainee straight from school and has been a partner for over half that time. He is said to bring extensive experience in taxation advisory work, leadership and strategic development, and has worked closely alongside Tim in recent years.
His appointment reflects the partnership’s focus on innovation, long-term thinking and values-led leadership.
Speaking about his new role, Rob said: ‘Randall & Payne has a strong sense of identity and purpose, and I’m proud to step into the role of managing partner. Tim has led the firm through an important period of development, including achieving B Corp certification, which says a great deal about the type of firm we are and aspire to be.’
He added that the accountancy profession continues to evolve, with advances in technology, increasing regulation and changing client expectations reshaping how firms operate.
‘Technology will continue to transform how core services are delivered, but our real value lies in our people, our relationships and the confidence we give clients to make good decisions,’ Rob said.
‘Our focus will be on investing in our team, improving how we work and ensuring we remain a trusted adviser to ambitious businesses and individuals. This is an exciting time for the firm. We have a clear vision for the future and a talented team to help deliver it.’
