2024 SoGlos Gloucestershire Business Awards winner, Rappor, has closed its latest fiscal year with a turnover of £7.6 million.

Rappor has closed its latest fiscal year with a turnover of £7.6 million, marking a 32 per cent year-on-year increase.

Founded in 2014 by Adam Padmore as a boutique transport planning firm, the business has grown into a 90-strong interdisciplinary consultancy, working with clients across the UK.

While the figures highlight commercial success, the company says its growth is rooted in a people-first approach, with a strong focus on wellbeing and work-life balance.

Brendan Quinn, director and partner at Rappor, said: ‘We’ve come a long way in a relatively short space of time and couldn’t be prouder of the impact everyone across our teams has had on our journey.

‘We’re continuing to build a team of consultants, engineers and designers in acoustics and air quality, civil infrastructure engineering, landscape architecture, transport planning and water management that our clients can lean on. From the very beginning of a project, they trust us to help them navigate complex issues, such as climate resilience, with practical solutions.’

Rappor now operates across nine strategic locations including Bristol, London, Manchester and Leeds, reflecting its continued expansion.

The business says its growth has been driven by a culture that prioritises the human experience, both internally and in the communities its projects serve, with a mission to help create more connected and resilient places.

Following a successful year, the consultancy is reinvesting in its team, with 18 employees promoted to new roles this month. It also continues to partner with QuoLux to deliver a bespoke leadership training programme.

Adam Padmore, managing director at Rappor, said: ‘Seeing everything we’ve achieved is a huge source of personal pride. More than the numbers, it’s about providing the opportunity to take care of our people and make sure we’re doing right by our clients and the communities around us. That’s what keeps me and our teams motivated, day in day out.’

Winner of ‘Best Place to Work’ at the 2024 SoGlos Gloucestershire Business Awards, Rappor says it remains focused on balancing technical excellence with social impact, with the aim of delivering sustainable development solutions that benefit both people and the environment.
