The founder of a national engineering and environmental consultancy based in Cheltenham, Rappor, has been appointed as the firm's CEO this June 2026, as two more strategic leaders join its newly created executive board.
Having been the 'driving force' behind its growth since founding the company in 2014, Adam Padmore becomes Rappor's chief executive officer, shifting focus toward high-level corporate strategy, capital allocation, and the continued development of the firm's culture.
Now operating across 10 UK locations including Bristol, Birmingham and Manchester, Rappor works in partnership with clients across various industries to deliver sustainable development solutions. It celebrated a record £7.6 million turnover in the latest fiscal year and was named in the Sunday Times Best Places to Work for the first time in 2026, too.
Adam said of becoming CEO: 'When we started Rappor it was never about reaching any size or scale; it was purely about the value we could create through investing in people and partnership. In professional terms, leading Rappor has become my life’s work.
'While I still have much to learn this change fills me with excitement, and I can’t wait to lean in and develop myself in the role knowing there’s the support of so many great people around me.'
Following Adam's change of role, Rappor has also announced the appointments of Matt Hilton and Mike Yiannis to the positions of COO and CFO respectively.
With 'a long and successful history' of working together, the pair join Rappor with an 'open-ended and outcomes-focused' mandate to help develop its structure, tools and people, to achieve a 'successful and sustainable' transition through a period of growth, ensuring long term stability.
Matt brings more than three decades of experience in the built environment including as managing director of engineering consultancy, Hydrock, where Mike served as the 'architect' of the firm's financial growth in his role as CFO.
Matt said of joining Rappor: 'What drew me to this opportunity is the balance between momentum and mindset. Rappor is growing with real intent and a sense of direction, but it hasn’t lost sight of the authentic culture it wants to continue building.
'The chance to step into this leadership role and guide what comes next made the decision an easy one, and I’m very much looking forward to what we achieve together.'
And Mike Yiannis added: 'I’ve been really impressed by the energy, clarity and ambition within Rappor’s leadership team, and by their commitment to building a national, transport-led multidisciplinary consultancy built on purpose. There are exciting growth opportunities ahead as the business scales, including the potential for strategic acquisitions.
'I’m looking forward to working with Adam, and everyone at Rappor, to lay the foundations for this next stage of growth.'
