Nestled in the Cotswolds, Stonehouse Court Hotel is a beautiful, 17th-century manor house hotel offering a full range of wedding packages, from intimate civil ceremonies to large, exclusive-use weddings and marquees on the lawns.
Situated in Stonehouse near Stroud, the hotel is set on six acres of beautiful gardens that benefit from picture-perfect views of the surrounding Cotswold countryside, creating a magical and romantic wedding day setting.
The characterful venue boasts a number of areas licensed for civil ceremonies, offering a wealth of choice for couples wanting to exchange their vows at the hotel, with the different spaces suitable for an array of wedding sizes and themes.
A delightful contemporary setting, the elegant Caroline Suite benefits from being the largest of the function suites, with capacity of up to 150 guests, making it perfect for an evening celebration or wedding breakfast.
The Caroline Suite space boasts idyllic vistas across the terrace, landscaped gardens, reception and cocktail bar areas, and also has the advantage of being completely self-contained to offer exclusive-use throughout the day.
Those planning summer weddings can say ‘I do’ outdoors under the Cotswold stone pagoda, located in the private gardens of the Caroline Suite, which will be used should the weather be unsuitable for an alfresco ceremony.
For smaller civil ceremonies, the romantic Arundel Suite benefits from lovely high ceilings, exposed wooden beams and glorious views; while the intimate Crellin Suite is ideal for boutique wedding parties, creating a striking space thanks to the spiral staircase, oak-panelled walls and mullioned windows.
Meanwhile there’s also the option for a Marquee Wedding, with Stonehouse Court’s events team working with couples closely, to ensure their needs are catered for.
The big day packages at Stonehouse Court include a dedicated wedding planner; toastmaster services; white table linen and napkins; an evening dance floor; a round cake stand and knife; an easel for the table plan; complimentary wedding tasting for two; and a bridal suite.
The 36-bedroom hotel offers plenty of space for the wedding party to stay, with rooms allocated for the bride and groom upon booking, along with 10 additional bedrooms held for up to two months prior to the wedding day, with special rates subject to availability.
The venue caters for every budget with a range of wedding breakfast menus, along with providing an extensive canapés menu; evening buffet choices including a hog roast, barbecue, burger bar, and fajitas; while there’s also a dedicated children’s menu; and plenty of vegetarian options.
For an extra special wedding experience, brides and grooms can choose from a range of packages that take in the waterways of the Stroud Water Canal, with the option to enjoy pre-wedding drinks and canapés on board; celebrate with a champagne reception and photography cruise; arrive or depart in style; or entertain your guests with a surprise trip along the canal.
Couples can also hire Stonehouse Court on an exclusive-use basis, giving couples the chance to enjoy the beautiful setting from 11am on the day of the wedding until checkout the following morning at 11am.
