The first ever SoGlos Gloucestershire Lifestyle Awards have got off to a flying start.

While we were sure there was a clear need for a new set of awards to celebrate and recognise businesses from the lifestyle sector in the county, we couldn’t predict just how popular the SoGlos Gloucestershire Lifestyle Awards would prove when we opened for nominations last month.

Throughout February 2018, businesses from across Gloucestershire and beyond were invited to nominate themselves in one or more of 20 categories, ranging from visitor attraction, sporting venue and restaurant to spa, independent shop and event of the year, with an impressive 240 businesses submitting more than 300 entries by the closing date.

What’s more, the quality of nominations has been particularly strong – with a mixture of iconic, long established local organisations through to exciting new fledgling ventures providing applications brimming with passion and innovation.

This week the SoGlos team will be working hard to create the definitive shortlist which will then go on to the public vote from Monday 19 March 2018 via soglos.com/awards.
