The University of Gloucestershire is launching four new apprenticeships to help meet the needs of modern businesses.
It will offer a new digital technology solutions professionals course, where apprentices can learn skills including cyber security and software development, with the opportunity to specialise in software engineering, network engineering or data analysis.
There will also be a new degree apprenticeship in data science, where students can learn about sourcing, accessing and manipulating data, as well as using insights to meet business goals.
Apprenticeships promise businesses a cost-effective way to give staff essential skills for modern business operations, while also improving productivity.
Head of the school of technology at the University of Gloucestershire, Professor Kamal Bechkoum, said: ‘These versatile new apprenticeships offer businesses the opportunity to get the practical and technical skills they need for ongoing resilience and future growth.
The new apprenticeship courses are due to start in April 2021.
