East Glos Club provides coaching for all ages and abilities that's available to non-members, across five racket sports including tennis and padel.

A great way to boost your physical and mental wellbeing, Cheltenham's East Glos Club provides a range of opportunities to take part in sport, without the commitment of becoming a member.

Gloucestershire's oldest and biggest racket sports club offers comprehensive coaching for non-members, both at its base on Old Bath Road and in the community, giving local people the chance to get to grips with, or re-kindle their love for racket sports, in an easy-entry, low cost way.

Open to all ages and abilities – and a great way to get kids into sport – the club provides weekly coaching courses across tennis, padel, racketball, squash and pickleball, which are perfect for learning the basics or taking your skills to the next level in a friendly, supportive environment, with individual lessons available to book, too.

It provides affordable coaching for 150 regular players at Montpellier and Pittville parks throughout the year, through its Tennis in the Park sessions.

Run in conjunction with Cheltenham Borough Council and In the Park, sessions include coaching for adults and under-16s of all abilities, along with social ladies-only sessions and fitness-focused cardio tennis.

There are also pay-and-play sessions available in the early mornings for non-members, for padel and pickleball.

The public are welcome at the club's Pro Shop, described as 'Cheltenham’s only racket sports specialist', with rackets and accessories at competitive prices – and free racket buying advice sessions available by booking online.

And if taking part as a non-member leaves you wanting more, you might find it's more affordable than you think to become a member, with prices starting at £6.34 a month for juniors, and £23.92 for adults.

Fees vary depending on your age group with various concessions available, and there's also a family membership from £97 a month for two adults and any number of under 19s from the same household. Members are able to book courts from as little as £1 for 45 minutes.
