The chance to take to the stage to collect your coveted SGGBA is just one reason to enter the SoGlos Gloucestershire Business Awards in 2023.

Having shaken up the traditional awards format with a fresh new approach in 2021, the SoGlos Gloucestershire Business Awards are back, bigger and better than ever for a third year – with 2023 entries now open to innovative start-ups through to the largest businesses in the county.

If you’re yet to submit your nomination for Gloucestershire’s leading business awards, the great news is there’s still time to shine – and here’s 10 top reasons to enter by the deadline on Friday 19 May 2023 via soglos.com/business-awards.

Get your business in front of a prestigious judging panel

All shortlisted SGGBA entries will be sent to the esteemed judging panel, which this year includes representatives from headline co-sponsors Hazlewoods and Willans LLP solicitors, as well as category sponsors Ecotricity, Gloucestershire County Council, Hewer FM, Quolux, Vitruvius… the list goes on.

There's a wealth of opportunities for businesses to shine

With a whole host of SGGBA categories up for grabs again this year, there’s 21 different opportunities for your business to shine – from New Business, Growth Business and Family Business of the Year, to Best Place to Work, Customer Excellence and Green Business of the Year. You can enter up to three categories, too.

The chance to celebrate outstanding individuals

There's plenty of ways for individuals to get their time in the limelight and gain recognition from their peers too, with 2023 categories including Entrepreneur, Employee, Business Leader, Young Business Leader and Apprentice of the Year.

Meet the other shortlisted businesses at an exclusive extra event

If you’re lucky enough to make the list of shortlisted entries in your category, look forward to joining all of this year’s shortlisted businesses and sponsors at a special drinks event at Still Moving in Cheltenham on Tuesday 18 July 2023. A great opportunity to come together before the big awards night later in the year!

Celebrate at the anticipated awards night

Finalists will also be invited to the anticipated awards night itself, held at Gloucester South Community Fire Station on Thursday 19 October 2023.

Expect a celebration evening with relaxed networking, drinks from Sibling Distillery and The Drunken Mare, supper from Fabioni's and Wholly Gelato – with the live reveal of winners by returning compère Steve Knibbs from BBC Points West.

Be welcomed onto the stage to collect your SGGBA

All finalists will be credited by the compère on the awards night itself, and receive an official SGGBA certificate; while winners will be invited onto the stage to collect their coveted trophy, before having their official photo taken to capture the special moment.

Get editorial coverage across SoGlos’s platforms

The celebrations don’t stop there, as winners will benefit from coverage on SoGlos – Gloucestershire’s leading media brand, with exposure to our 285,000 monthly audience of website readers, email newsletter subscribers and social media followers.

Celebrate winning at the most authentic awards in the region

Winners can proudly shout about their award win knowing SGGBA is the most authentic business awards in the region, with the very best businesses and individuals being voted for by a panel of expert leaders representing iconic Gloucestershire organisations.

Share your success with your team, partners and customers

From your staff and partners to your new and existing customers, who doesn’t love being part of an award-winning business? Share the great news far and wide – we’ll even provide you with assets to help you do so!

The whole SGGBA process is completely free of charge
