For those with love to spare, Gloucestershire County Council is holding an online ‘introduction to fostering’ event this February 2022.

Local children – including babies and toddlers – need local foster carers to provide homes in the Gloucestershire area, where they can feel safe and loved.

Taking place on Tuesday 15 February 2022, the hour-long information session starts at 6.30pm and is being live streamed via Zoom.

If you’re curious to find out if fostering would suit you, the session will cover the different kinds of fostering, what you need to be able to foster, as well as the support and training on offer.

There’ll be a chance to hear from an experienced foster carer, members of the county council’s fostering team, and to ask any questions you have as part of a live Q&A, too.

While there is no obligation for potential foster carers to take the next steps until they are ready to, those with childcare experience of any kind may be eligible for fast-track assessment.

For more information, visit gloucestershire.gov.uk/fostering or email fostering@gloucestershire.gov.uk to request the zoom link and joining information for the session on Tuesday 15 February 2022 directly.
