One of Europe’s biggest and best re-enactment events, Tewkesbury Medieval Festival will see thousands return to the town to witness parades, enjoy themed entertainment and dress in impressive costumes.

Tewkesbury Medieval Festival is guaranteed to be a date for the family calendar when the annual event returns to the Gloucestershire town this summer, attracting thousands of re-enactors, entertainers and traders from all over Europe.

Taking place on Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 July 2019, visitors can expect battle re-enactments, grand parades and period entertainment at the event, which is set to transport Tewkesbury back in time for one weekend only.

While the undoubtable highlight of the festival is the Battle of Tewkesbury re-enactment, there is still plenty going on to keep all the family entertained, spanning music, dance and drama performances, encounters with fascinating characters from the past, and period-based arts and crafts.
