Saturday 9 to Sunday 10 July 2022
Editor's Choice FreeRe-live local history when the annual Tewkesbury Medieval Festival makes its anticipated return on Saturday 9 and Sunday 10 July 2022.
With the previous year calling medieval enthusiasts to stream the festival online, 2022 will return the festival to its former glory with an in-person event this summer.
Attracting history lovers from around the world, the festival will not only be providing a re-enactment of the famous Battle of Tewkesbury, but also living history displays, a beer tent, funfair, food and drink stalls, a parade through town and a medieval market selling everything from crafts to armour.
Plus, there will also be medieval inspired crafts and shows on display for younger visitors; as well as stilt walkers, jugglers and even friendly dragons to meet!
Visitors are also welcome to stay at the festival’s own campsite, located just five minutes from the main site.
