Famous for its abundance of native daffodils, Kempley sits in Gloucestershire’s Golden Triangle — and there’s the chance to see the natural spectacle in all its glory at Kempley Daffodil Weekend this March 2024.
Taking place from Saturday 16 to Sunday 17 March 2024, visitors can take part in guided walks or hop on the daff-and-ride bus to see the fields in comfort — it's a free service that runs every 45 minutes from 10.45am from Kempley Village Hall.
Those participating in the guided walks will be able to take a scenic five-mile stroll through Dymock Woods to a secret valley of daffodils, or choose to wander through old orchards and daffodil meadows to reach St Mary's Church, home to one of the best fresco mural paintings in England.
Both guided walks start at St Edward's Church, where refreshments are available from 9.30am — and perfectly timed to return to the village hall for lunch.
The village hall serves food and drink from 10.30am until 4.30pm both days, too.
Walkers are advised to wear sturdy shoes and dogs are welcome on the guided walks, providing they're always kept on a lead.
