Taking the city by storm each year, the popular Gloucester Folk Trail is returning with a toe-tapping programme of live music events and workshops from Friday 17 to Sunday 19 February 2023.

Folk fans can enjoy performances at venues across Gloucester, including Gloucester Guildhall, The Folk of Gloucester and Gloucester Brewery's Warehouse 4, with something for fledgling folkies and hardcore followers alike.

Now in its sixth year, the Gloucester Folk Trail sees folk musicians, artists and poets from around the county pay homage to traditional forms of folk music, performance and entertainment.

This year’s Gloucester Folk Trail includes performances from the likes of the Lonesome Pines, The Twiddlers, The Invisible Tom Stanley, Danny Hammond and Jim Rowley, as well as street performances from Morris dance groups.

New for this year, there's a song writing workshop, hosted by Gloucester Songwriters' Circle on Saturday 18 February 2023, providing all the tools budding musicians need to get started – covering lyric writing, chord progressions and melody.
