Based on the hit novel by King, the story follows Andy Dufresne after he is handed a double life sentence for brutal murders that he denies doing - and his unlikely friendship with the prison fixer, Red.
The cast features esteemed actor Joe Absolom as Andy, whose career has seen him barely off of our screens in the last 25 years in shows such as Eastenders and Doc Martin, starring alongside Ben Onwukwe, who boasts a 30-year stage career including leading roles with the RSC and Royal Court, as Red.
Examining the same desperation, injustice, friendship and hope as the original story, audiences can expect a remarkable performance, packed with action - displaying just how dehumanising prison can be.
