Shakespeare's Twelfth Night is coming to the open-air stage at Eastnor Castle this June 2022.

Putting a reality TV-inspired spin on Shakespeare’s timeless comedy, Heartbreak Productions is bringing its open-air production of Twelfth Night to Eastnor Castle on Sunday 12 June 2022.

Transforming Eastnor’s picturesque Lower Terrace into an island, audiences will be treated to a Love Island meets Big Brother take on the story, which sees a young woman disguise herself as a man and become embroiled in a love triangle.

Sticking close enough to the tale for die-hard Shakespeare fans, while mixing it up for modern audiences by throwing Viola, Orsino and co. into a reality TV coupling show, the production finds a new way to explore Twelfth Night’s themes of obsessive love and mistaken identity.

The production is suitable for children aged seven and up and will run for approximately two hours and 15 minutes, including an interval.

There’s no seating, so remember to bring your own blankets and low-backed chairs to sit on – as well as waterproofs or sun cream, depending on the weather! Guests are also welcome to bring a picnic.

Tickets are available to book online at eastnorcastle.com/twelfth-night.
