Gloucester Cathedral will celebrate Project Pilgrim with a special event this June.

To celebrate the completion of phase one of Project Pilgrim, Gloucester Cathedral will host a special launch party this summer, welcoming the local community to join in the fun.

Opening its doors on Sunday 24 June 2018, the Pilgrim Celebration welcomes all ages to enjoy activities and entertainment. Highlights include have-a-go heritage crafts; drop-in family activities; demonstrations from talented stonemasons; and badge making.

History buffs old and young can meet characters from the cathedral’s history, as well as getting the opportunity to explore hidden places at the iconic attraction.

What’s more the Tribune Gallery is open to the public following an extensive refurbishment, with visitors able to discover its new interactive exhibition.

There will also be tasty treats galore with plenty of local food and drink on offer, while scaffolding tours and dressing up will also be on offer during the day.

An ambitious ten-year programme of capital development, regeneration and community engagement, Project Pilgrim has restored parts of Gloucester’s landmark building, including The Lady Chapel, Cathedral Green and Welcome Area.
