The world’s greenest football club, Forest Green Rovers, has announced that it is partnering with Stroud-based sustainable wine company, When in Rome.

The Gloucestershire club already has a plant-based matchday menu and will now be serving up climate-conscious wine for fans to enjoy at its innocent New Lawn stadium in Nailsworth, too.

When In Rome provides quality Italian wine to the UK in a sustainable and environmentally friendly – with its innovative ‘alt-format’ boxes staying fresh for up to six weeks once opened.

Rob Malin, CEO of When in Rome, said: ‘We are very excited to be partnering with FGR and look forward to providing beautiful, eco- and vegan- friendly Italian wines to visitors at the innocent new lawn’.
