1. Tapas Tuesday

WSP Solicitors’ popular not for profit event Tapas Tuesday is described as a friendly business networking event at Sebz Tapas restaurant in Gloucester, on Tuesday 5 July 2022.

It is all about making connections, building relationships and getting to know business people over delicious tapas. The cost of attendance is £12.50 per person which includes a selection of tapas and a drink.


2. What’s in it for me?

Gloucestershire wealth management firm Quayside is hosting an informal breakfast discussion, covering the basics of financial advice and answering any questions you have, at Llanthony Secunda Priory in Gloucester.

The city firm’s Amelia Brady will be hosting the informal Quayside breakfast talk, discussing what financial advice is, how a financial plan works and what elements make up a solid financial plan. Due to take place from 8.30am to 10am on Wednesday 6 July 2022.


3. Fundamentals of business budgeting workshop

Stroud’s Growth Hub’s fundamentals of business budgeting workshop will look at business budgeting and how it can be used in any size of business, focusing on income and expenditure planning and how these can be used to prepare your budget through to cashflow modeling and reforecasting.

This workshop has been especially designed for Gloucestershire SMEs to enhance financial knowledge and make you better placed to make well informed business decisions going forward. Due to take place on Thursday 7 July 2022 at The Growth Hub at SGS College.


4. Entrepreneurs’ Network Event

Start and Grow Enterprise, which exists to do just that – help Gloucestershire businesses start and grow – is staging another of its Gloucestershire entrepreneurs’ network events delivering insightful talks and top tips from inspiring local start-ups and professionals.

The events are free and open to everyone who would like to learn new ways to develop themselves as an entrepreneur and those with an interest in supporting local business. Due to take place this month on Wednesday 13 July 2022 at The Growth Hub in Gloucester.


5. Women in Business Summer Drinks

Elaine Warwicker of Canny Conversations is due to host this Cheltenham’s Women in Business networking group summer drinks event at Sam’s Montpellier in Cheltenham.

Due to take place on Tuesday 19 July from 7.30pm, the night promises a chance to make connections, network, and enjoy a glass of fizz and some canapés.


6. Visit Cayman Islands Cheltenham Cricket Festival 2022

Not just a festival of sport, but also many people’s favourite excuse for a bit of business networking, this year the Cheltenham Cricket Festival celebrates its 150th anniversary.

Due to take place from Tuesday 19 July 2022, when Gloucestershire will face Hampshire in Division One of the LV= Insurance County Championship, the home county will also play a Royal London Cup match against Warwickshire on Tuesday 2 August 2022 and Western Storm will take on South East Star on Saturday 23 July 2022.


7. How to identify your ideal client

The Forest of Dean’s Growth Hub is staging this How to Identify your deal client workshop for businesspeople on Tuesday 19 July 2022 – a three-hour interactive workshop sharing tools and techniques to help you identify your best clients and customers and make sure what you offer is the perfect fit

Due to take place at its Vantage Point Business Village base in Mitcheldean from 10am to 1pm, it will aim to help you better identify you ideal customer, what their specific needs are around your product, and help you make them an offer that is a perfect fit for them.


8. Cirencester Business and Community Awards

Cirencester Chamber of Commerce is holding the Cirencester business and community awards, a brand new awards presentation ceremony to celebrate not only the success of local businesses, but also the achievement of the community sector.

There will be seven business awards and four community awards. More than 300 are expected to attend, with the celebration will take place in the Church of St John the Baptist in the Market Place on Friday 22 July 2022 from 6pm till 9.30pm.


9. Start-up Day

This Start-up Day event will focus entirely on those very first steps to building a successful business, covering the most important elements of getting ready and getting started, along with those roadblocks that occur so often when great ideas meet reality.

Hearing from specialist trainers with years of experience supporting start-ups and running their own successful businesses, you’ll have the chance to ask the questions that are keeping you awake at night – and to ask your fellow entrepreneurs and freelancers too. Staged by Start and Grow Enterprise and due to take place on Wednesday 27 July 2022 from 10am to 4.30pm.
