Nile Rodgers & CHIC announce Kingsholm concert

Bringing disco to Gloucester Rugby's Kingsholm Stadium this summer, superstars Nile Rodgers & CHIC will be performing live in June 2019.

Disco legends Nile Rodgers & CHIC will be performing at Gloucester Rugby’s Kingsholm Stadium this summer.

Headlining the Gloucester stage on Sunday 9 June 2019, Nile Rodgers & CHIC are the second act to be confirmed at the sports venue, following news of Olly Murs’ summer concert.

A multiple Grammy winner, Nile Rodgers co-founded CHIC who are best known for their huge hits including ‘Le Freak’, ‘Good Times’ and ‘He’s The Greatest Dancer’ to name a few.

More recently, Nile Rodgers’ work has involved collaborations with Daft Punk, Sigala and Sam Smith to name just a few.

CEO of Gloucester Rugby, Stephen Vaughan, said: ‘Nile Rodgers is an absolute legend in the world of music. He has written, produced and performed on albums that have sold millions of copies worldwide.

‘Kingsholm Stadium is a unique venue… Nile Rodgers and CHIC will put on a superb evening’s entertainment.’

Tickets cost from £42.50 and will go on sale at 8am on Wednesday 20 February 2019.
