This Country’s star and creator has confirmed that the show will get an American reboot.

The hit mockumentary This Country will be remade for an American audience, according to the show’s star and co-creator, Daisy May Cooper.

The half-hour trial episode will be piloted in the USA on the Fox network, and will be directed by Bridesmaids director, Paul Feig.

According to a post on Daisy May Cooper’s Instagram, both she and brother Charlie, who plays Kurtan in the British show, will be executive producers for the pilot.

Daisy is also to feature in the blockbuster movie David Copperfield, which will be in cinemas on Friday 24 January 2019, and confirmed in November that editing on series three of This Country had been completed.

Daisy May plays Kerry Mucklowe, a foul-mouthed young person, growing up in a Cotswold town alongside her cousin Kurtan, played by Daisy May’s real-life brother Charlie Cooper.

Series three of the show is due to air in 2020.
