Gloucestershire email marketing agency appoints head of AI to 'push the boundaries' of growth

Cheltenham-based email marketing specialist, Acquirz, has appointed a new head of data and AI to its senior team this April 2026, in a bid to upscale its use of AI to accelerate growth and improve services for clients.

Gloucestershire email marketing agency Acquirz has appointed experienced data and tech leader, Kevin Smith, to its senior team this April 2026, with a view to 'pushing the boundaries of what's possible' for the business and clients through AI-driven data analytics.

Bringing more than two decades of experience across data, analytics and technology, Kevin will work to further embed AI-driven insights across the business to help accelerate its commercial growth, in his new role as head of data and AI.

His expertise will also benefit clients through the implementation of smarter customer targeting, data enrichment and process automation.

The appointment comes in a period of growth for the Cheltenham firm, which provides B2B data and email marketing solutions to help a range of businesses acquire new customers, following its recent acquisition of a UK-based data-led marketing agency, Marketscan.

Starting out as an apprentice database consultant in 1999 before going on to oversee global teams and delivering enterprise-scale data solutions, Kevin has built wide-ranging expertise from strategy and architecture, through to AI machine learning integration, data engineering, analytics, governance and insight delivery.

Along with Kevin's appointment, Acquirz also welcomes a new campaign manager, Kelly Marchant, in April 2026, bringing nearly a decade of experience in customer relationship management and email marketing.
