Unveiled at the end of November, support for the brand new SoGlos Gloucestershire Business Award has been unprecedented – with more than 50 per cent all sponsorship opportunities being secured in less than two weeks.

Inspiration for the new SGGBA awards came partly as a result of SoGlos’s hugely successful annual Gloucestershire Lifestyle Awards, launched in 2018 – but also for the need for a brand new, modern Gloucestershire Business Awards format, at a time when our business community emerges from one of the most challenging years in living memory.

The awards were unveiled on Thursday 26 November 2020 with GFirst LEP and The Growth Hub already confirmed as headline co-sponsors, while category sponsorships have since been promptly secured by leading Gloucestershire businesses and organisations, which are also keen to celebrate the amazing success stories which fuel and inspire our local economy.

Willans LLP solicitors is the proud sponsor of ‘Growth Business of the Year’; QuoLux™ of ‘Family Business of the Year’; Ecotricity of ‘Green Business of the Year; Hazlewoods of ‘Employer Engagement Award’; Evans Jones of ‘Pivoting Business of the Year’; and the University of Gloucestershire of ‘Entrepreneur of the Year’.

‘We couldn’t have asked for a more impressive calibre of business and organisations to have already supported the new the SoGlos Gloucestershire Business Awards, and are excited to learn more about our sponsors in the new year, and then open for nominations from amazing county businesses in March 2021, said James Fyrne, SoGlos co-founder.

‘In just two weeks the positive response to the launch of SGGBA from the business community has been phenomenal, reinforcing the need for an innovative new Gloucestershire business awards format to recognise and celebrate innovative start-ups to the top 100 businesses in the county.’
