International airline academy at Gloucestershire Airport appoints new general manager

Skyborne Airline Academy has announced the appointment of Paul Fabian as its new general manager of the firm's UK facility based at Gloucestershire Airport in Staverton.

Skyborne Airline Academy, which has a training base at Gloucestershire Airport in Staverton, announces the appointment of Paul Fabian as general manager for its UK facility. The international airline academy also has a base in Florida in the USA.

Bringing 30 years of senior airline experience, Fabian will lead the UK management team for the company, ensuring trainees receive the highest quality piloting training, while also being responsible for driving growth and future success for the business.

Skyborne CEO Lee Woodward said: 'Paul's airline and management career will prove hugely valuable to Skyborne, strengthening our excellent track record of securing placements for our graduates and building relationships with the world’s leading airlines. I believe Paul will be a real credit to us as we work to achieve our goals.'

Fabian added: 'I’m looking forward to working with the team to build on its huge success. With world-class facilities and a commitment to opening up flight training to as wide a range of individuals as possible, Skyborne has a bright future and an important role to play.'

Before joining the team at Skyborne, Fabian was COO at Green Africa Airways, a start-up, where he managed a team of six directors and led 430 employees. He has also held the roles of COO at Air Malta and vice president of network control at Emirates.

Skyborne holds close relationships with world-leading airlines, providing opportunities for trainees as part of British Airways' Speedbird Pilot Academy, the Delta Propel Career Path Program and the SkyWest Professional Pilot Pathway.
