Television presenter Ellie Harrison is bringing Countryfile back to her home county of Gloucestershire in the latest episode being shown on Sunday 21 March 2021, entitled ‘first signs of spring’.

The popular BBC programme will see Ellie celebrating the arrival of spring on her ‘home turf’ in the Cotswolds.

‘From the millions of snowdrops in Painswick’s Rococo Gardens to discovering some old folklore, finding out about a scheme to enable wheelchair users to enjoy tougher terrain in the great outdoors and meeting the cattle that encourage wildflowers.’

The latest show follows on from a popular Gloucestershire episode of Countryfile which aired on Sunday 31 January 2021, and featured Ellie — who grew up near Cirencester, went to school in Tetbury and later attended Cirencester College, visiting The Long Table in Stroud.

Ellie is not the only Countryfile star who shines a spotlight on Gloucestershire either, as Cotswold Farm Park owner Adam Henson regularly appears on the show from his venue in Guiting Power in Cheltenham.

See Gloucestershire and the Cotswolds on the forthcoming episode of Countryfile on BBC One on Sunday 21 March 2021 at 7pm.
