Regent Arcade in Cheltenham is helping shoppers celebrate Earth Day this April 2023, with a range of offers and discounts rewarding sustainable shopping, as well as fun in-store entertainment.

Earth Day takes place on Saturday 22 April 2023 and encourages people across the globe to think about how to live more sustainably, through things like educating children about the climate; taking political action; banning single-use plastics; planting trees; cleaning up our oceans; and embracing sustainable fashion.

Shoppers in Cheltenham can get a 'tree hug' from The Hedgemen at Regent Arcade between 11am and 4pm on Earth Day 2023, with family-friendly Sow and Grow Crafts sessions on Sunday 23 April 2023, teaching budding gardeners how to grow their own plants and take care of birds, bees and other wildlife from 12pm to 4pm.

Regent Arcade is also using Earth Day to highlight plastic alternatives, recycling points and year-round green initiatives from stores within the centre, such as 10 per cent off at The Perfume Shop for refilling empty bottles; and £5 off at H&M, River Island and Schuh for recycling unwanted clothes and shoes.

Chapman Opticians is also showcasing its range of eco and carbon-negative frames, with exclusive Earth Day discounts in-store as well as free drinks and nibbles.

Centre manager, Scott Lahive, said: 'We are more aware than ever of our impact on the environment in which we live and for shoppers looking to reduce this, we’re certainly encouraging them to take a look at the variety of green initiatives available through our stores, especially as many stores are also offering money off simply by recycling.

'Events like Earth Day are a great motivator to see what eco-friendly options are out there, whether it’s just taking your own bags from home when you go shopping or choosing items that come in sustainable and recyclable packaging, there are lots of simple ways we can all do our bit to protect the environment.'
