See Chris Packham share the highs and lows of his career, his love of wildlife and what nature's past can teach us about its future at Gloucester History Festival Spring Weekend this April 2024.

Gloucester History Festival Spring Weekend has added an exciting new name to its line-up, as TV presenter and conservationist Chris Packham comes to Gloucester this April 2024.

The BBC Springwatch presenter is taking to the stage at Blackfriars Priory on Thursday 11 April 2024 to share his love of wildlife; his favourite TV moments; the highs and lows of his career as a natural history broadcaster; and question what the past can teach us about the future of the natural world with fellow TV presenter and Gloucester History Festival president, Professor Janina Ramirez.

His surprise addition to this year's programme follows the standout success of his 2023 TV series Earth, which traced the 4.5-billion-year history of our home planet, with Chris saying: 'We are entranced by the beauty of our planet. Wherever you are, you have beneath your feet the most precious object in the universe; a living, breathing, life-sustaining world.’

He joins the likes of Michael Wood, Peter Frankopan, Sathnam Sanghera, Stephen McCann and Estelle Paranque at the insightful event.

Tickets to Chris Packham's talk at Gloucester History Festival cost £15 each and are on sale from 10am on Friday 1 March 2024.
