Giffords Circus heads back on tour in April 2023, bringing a lavish new show to 13 venues across the country.

Gloucestershire's hugely popular Giffords Circus is back on tour from April 2023 - and it has just announced the name of its brand-new show.

Taking inspiration from 19th century French romanticism, this year's performance is called Les Enfants du Paradis and promises to be its 'most lavish show yet!'

Featuring incredible sets, period costumes and a magical storyline, the show stars Tweedy the Clown alongside actor and singer Michael Fletcher, who returns to Giffords after starring in Xanadu in 2019 and The Feast in 2020.

Director, Cal McCrystal, said: 'With romance at its heart, the show’s narrative will provide a playful context for some of the most intriguing, exciting and beautiful acts ever to appear at Giffords.'

Those acts include France's Got Talent star and aerialist, Antony Cesar; a poetic Chinese shadow performance from Sergi Buka; Italian circus sensations The Skating Medini; foot jugglers Romy and Alex Michael; a pony act from Amanda Sandow; aerial hoop duo The Luna Girls; and Ethiopian acrobats, The Ethio-selam Troupe.

Les Enfants du Paradis is on tour from Thursday 6 April until Sunday 1 October 2023, starting at Giffords HQ on Fennels Farm in Stroud and visiting 13 venues across the country, including Frampton-on-Severn; Daylesford Farm; Sudeley Castle; Minchinhampton Common; and Stratton Meadows in Gloucestershire along the way.

Tickets are on sale now, costing from £20 for adults and from £10 for children, with under threes able to attend for free.
